PlatformUptake.eu workshops to discuss open platforms in the active and healthy ageing domain and their barriers, success factors and good practices
Open platforms for active and healthy ageing (AHA) enable the connection of sensors and devices, ensuring seamless integration with the communication networks and provide resources and mechanisms for the management of these connected things and data. Platforms connect the individual user for example to health or social care provisions, to lifestyle and prevention applications and to home technology. They provide a one-stop shop and end-user service to upload information and download applications. Besides services and products, open platforms deliver data analytics and visualisations. The overall aim of open platforms in the AHA domain is to support independent living, healthy lifestyles and participation in society.
To achieve the goal of the PlatformUptake.eu project, that is to increase the uptake and further upscale open platforms in Europe, it is crucial to learn more about the wishes and demands of end-users, what the hindrance and success factors for providers and developers are, and which good practices exist in Europe.
Therefore, PlatformUptake.eu organises a range of online workshops with end-users and technology and service providers. Participants in the workshops will learn more about the usability of open platforms, identified factors for success and lessons learned and methodology for upscaling.
The workshops are open to older adults and their representative organisations, health and social care providers, insurance companies, municipalities and other public authorities, technology providers, platform developers and other interested stakeholders.
The workshops are organised in local languages in various European countries. There will also be a workshop that focuses more on the relation and interaction between open platform developers and AHA/AAL solution providers/companies. Two workshops have already been announced
